Accessibility statement
This statement applies to the Digital Marketing School website. Last reviewed: [DATE].
This website is run by Digital Marketing School. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings;
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen;
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard;
- pause moving content using the “Pause motion” control;
- read most of the website with a screen reader.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not yet fully accessible. We are actively working to fix the following:
- some colour combinations and decorative graphics may not yet meet the minimum contrast ratio in every section;
- the layout has not yet been fully verified for reflow at 400% zoom on small screens;
- the hero background video is decorative and has no captions (it contains no audio or essential information);
- some interactive motion and animation effects are still being reviewed for full screen-reader and keyboard support.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard,
due to the non-compliances listed below. We are working towards full compliance.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
- Colour contrast: some text and graphical elements may not meet the 4.5:1 (text) or 3:1 (large text / non-text) contrast minimums. This fails WCAG 1.4.3 and 1.4.11. We are remediating this across all pages.
- Reflow / zoom: some content may require horizontal scrolling at very high zoom on narrow viewports. This fails WCAG 1.4.10. Testing and fixes are in progress.
- Motion: moving content can be paused with the on-page “Pause motion” control and respects the operating system “reduced motion” setting, but a full review against WCAG 2.2.2 and 2.3.3 is ongoing.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on [DATE]. The website was last self-assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA on [DATE]. A full independent audit (automated and manual screen-reader testing) is [planned / in progress – add date].
Until an independent audit is completed and the items above are resolved, this site should not be described as fully compliant.
